Oh, what would I do dear Lord,
without Thee by my side,
bringing peace to mind and soul
when one I love has died?
How, Lord, could my broken heart
be comforted and mend,
if I believed what we call death
is final…and the end?
But no, the dead shall rise again
because of Christ, Thy Son.
Through His great love and sacrifice
eternal life is won.
In spite of tears and sorrow
from the loss that I now feel,
there’ll be joy in a tomorrow
for my loved one lives on still.
