Handprints

Handprints in our home

Get higher every year.

Then before we know it

Suddenly they disappear.

But now with joy I notice,

Upon my cupboard door,

A brand new little handprint

From a grandchild I adore.

Every handprint is a treasure,

Like little works of art.

And as each child makes them

It puts handprints on my heart.
