I believe I have the right
to by myself decide,
what I do with my own body,
both outside, or inside.

 
If a woman becomes pregnant,
for whatever reason at all;
To abort or keep the child
should entirely be her call.

 
Suppose she isn’t married,
or needs to finish school?
To ruin her name, or future
she would have to be a fool.

 
What if she simply can’t afford
the expense a baby brings?
Doctor, hospital, food and clothes
and lots of other things.

 
Perhaps the mother has been raped,
becoming pregnant let’s assume.
Besides… a fetus isn’t a person
while it’s still in the womb.

 
Those who are pro-choice
give their logic loud and long;
But God’s not in their picture,
because to Him abortion’s wrong.

 
A spirit is a part of the fetus,
and to God has immeasurable worth.
But the spirit must flee from it’s body,
if killed before it’s birth.

 
Families are ready and waiting
to give a new child a home.
Everyday, women weep and pray
for a child when they can’t have their own.

 
If a spirit inside it’s Mother’s womb
were able to have a voice,
it surely would ask it’s pro-choice mom…
