Prayer

 
Do we really comprehend

the strength there is in prayer?

To humble ourselves before our God

and know that He is there.

 
To know He hears each

heartfelt word we utter as we pray,

And that our prayers are answered

in a very special way.

 
His love He freely gives us.

He knows our every care.

He’s told us He will bless us

if we’ll kneel to Him in prayer.

 
So before the start of every day,

and at each long day’s end,

Pray to God your maker,

your Father, and your Friend.
