His Name In Vain

 
Commandments given by our God,

Direct us here on earth.

How we choose to keep them

Will determine our soul’s worth.

 
The third commandment tells us

not to take His name in vain.

Vain use of His Son’s name too,

is a sin, to us made plain.

 
He will not “hold him guiltless”,

who degrades His Holy Name

Let’s love our God with all our hearts,

And not commit this shame.

 
Respect the God who gave us life,

And His Son, who loves us too.

We degrade ourself, by degrading God.

Respect Him in all you do.
