Heaven’s Door

When I knock on heaven’s door
will it open and let me in?
Will God see the good in me
and overlook my sin?

Will those I love, there above,
the ones who went before,
welcome me with open arms
as I approach the door?

Or with tears, will they wave
and bid me there farewell?
Dear God help me to worthy be
when I approach the veil.
