Dentists Office

 
A sign in my dentists office reads,

“Let us improve your smile.”

but I got a neck ache in his chair

from counting ceiling tile.

 
My jaw was aching all the time

from opening so wide.

And pain from too little Novocain

became too much to hide.

 
Even though the time spent there

wasn’t a whole lot of fun,

I‘ll have to admit I smiled

when he finally was done.

 
But my smile quickly went away

when he gave me the bill.

It left my face and hit the floor

and it’s lying down there still.
